High levels of hygiene and sustainable wastewater are taken for granted by most people in Europe. However, almost half of the world´s population still lacks access to these standards thus often suffering from diseases that spread rapidly such as serious diarrhoea. The annual World Toilet Day (WTD) was established on 19 November to draw attention to this fact, and CWS-boco supports this goal every year by also supporting the German Toilet Organization, one of the organizations which let this day happen. Access to proper sanitary fittings improves peoples´ health and at the same time protects the environment. This is why CWS-boco has been supporting the German Toilet Organization for many years now and is actively participating in the World Toilet Day this year as well.

Creativity contest extended until 16 March 2012: On the occasion of the World Toilet Day 2011, CWS-boco is looking for the most creative small place.

From 19 November 2011 up to 16 March 2012 you are asked to let your fantasy run wild and design graphics, sketches, collages or paintings of unsual, creative but strictly hygienic toilets.
